Paul Bettany, a famous warrior priest, lives alone in a city community ruled over by his church. He lives in an orphaned society that has been ravaged by centuries of civil war between humans and vampires. When a group of vicious vampires take his niece away and kidnap her, the priest violates his vow and sets out on a personal mission to save her before vampires strike on her. The people who accompany him on his dangerous journey is his former friend and ex-priestess (Lily Collins) with supernatural abilities. Together, they fight the evil organization who wants to control the human population by using a new virus to wipe them out. The vampire group, under the direction of charismatic leader (Sam Haine), recruits the beautiful, young Victoria (Emma Watson).

The priest and his comrades become involved in a power struggle against the current ruler as they seek to thwart the evil organization. When a tragic death occurs during a riot caused by the turmoil and the ruler of the day falls victim to a vampire that is the primary threat to the lives of priests and the rest of humanity. As the threat grows more severe, the priest must decide which side to follow…

Annabel Wishston One of the few survivors of the initial outbreak, returns as the Countess. She was raised in a secure environment after her marriage to a wealthy merchant. She quickly rises up in society and forms close friendships with David (Barry Foster) and protects him from vampires she doesn’t know. In exchange for protection, David allows Annabel to live with him. Shortly after this she joins him in the pursuit of the elusive Dracula. However, he realizes that he will not win and decides that it is time for him to find love again whether with a new partner or with Countess.

Annabel is soon joined by two new acquaintances, Steve (John Loughlin) and Tommy (Eliaunder). The three of them form the center of her vampire hunters known as the Priests. Although she initially leads them mainly due to her age of woman, soon she realizes that her relationships with her family will be more important to her as she pursues the enemy. Throughout the series we see women supporting and taking part in the hunt to find Dracula.

The novel is primarily about the relationship between Dracula and the Priestess but there are other aspects that aren’t so obvious. There are the priests who assist the Priestess and aid her fight off the vampires. These are the Walled Cities. These are places that were completely isolated from the outside world and only had the assistance of a self-made defense force led by the Priests. The Walled Cities were created to protect the inhabitants from Dracula and other threats.

In one scene from the movie the Priestess is shown giving instructions to the girls who are aiding her in her mission. One of the directions is to help them search out and kill any vampires they see. The Priestess and the girls are cremated when they are found dead and their bodies are buried in the Walled City. The film cuts to 15 years later when the priestess is questioned by an investigator.

The movie offers another glimpse into the thoughts and feelings of priests during this time. While they attempt to explain to the investigator what took place they are distracted by their own personal history. They express regret over the deaths of their own sisters and wish they had assisted them in their demise. The film offers a glimpse into how a vampire would perceive the world surrounding them, including both the good and evil that was prevalent during this period.

นักบุญ ปีศาจ 4K This movie was enjoyable to watch. It’s entertaining for old and young viewers. The acting was superb, the story was well-told and the special effects were fantastic. I hope that some one will see this movie known for its good vampire movie and be enticed to go watch the next movie: “Priestess of Valerian”.
